Twas the night before Cuba

Its the night before I see Cuba for the first time for work.  Tomorrow I will be flying to Toronto and then onto Holguin, Cuba.  Its the Company's policy that you don't drive at night, therefore I need to over night in Holguin before I drive to Moa on Sunday.

I'm quite interested to see what Moa looks like.  I've heard lots of stories and different people's ideas but until I see if for myself I really won't know.

So what's the plan for this blog?  Well I will use it as a means to keep you up to date and show the occasional picture or 2.  I'm only in Cuba for a week this trip, and then off to Toronto for a week of training.

I will keep you all updated, and I'm in the process of developing a calender widget to show where I am and when.

Strange Happenings

So is it bad things happen in three's or strange things???  In this case I have three strange occurrences in past several days.  I apologize in advance as this post won't have my normal writing flare. #1  Azuly Just when we think that we can go out and have a normal evening strange things happen.  They have renovated this old bar and we had started to go.  It was quite, it was clean, and there are no hookers.  So last night we went out, had some beers and then got in the truck to leave.  We were going to do a quick lap around town and see what was happening.  We pulled through the intersection and a cop on a motorbike pulled us over. Out of Office Assistant

I'm out of here.  Less than an hour of work left and just over 2 hours until the van leaves for the airport.  It has been a slice but I need this break.  I'm exhausted.  I can't wait to land in Kelowna tomorrow afternoon.  It's going to be my best arrival home yet.  As I mentioned before I won't likely be posting for a few weeks.  Too much fun stuff to do.  Plus don't you all have something better to do than to read my blog???

Ugh

The last couple of months have been interesting.  The relationship ended, and it should have ended at least a year ago.  Unfortunately for all involved it didn't.  I also knew that the end wasn't going to go well.  I knew unless I rolled over and let her steam roll me and take anything she could it was going to go bad.  She never learned the word no.  Nobody ever told her no.  Which unfortunately I did.  I should have known sooner, but you live and you learn. That being said I've taken a lot of crap the last few months.  Non-stop nasty email, constant bad mouthing around town, and passive aggressive posts on social media.  I've tried to take the high road.  I haven't bad mouthed her to my friends or anything.  I don't have to.  When they ask me what happened I tell them it just didn't work out.  I could say a lot more but I don't need to, and this isn't high school.
