It's been a long time

Looking at my last post it has now been over a year since my last confession.  Please forgive me.  There are several reasons why I stopped posting.

Different people have come and gone from my life over the year, and sometimes certain information shouldn't be distributed equally.  That probably formed my first reason to stop posting.  Those of you who have been reading since the beginning will have noticed how certain posts are no longer visible.  That would be why.  Let's be honest the blog started out one way, and as I took on this assignment in Cuba things went another.  Not sure how I will resolve this but I do have a few ideas.

Secondly time and more specifically lack there of.  I got busier with work and getting through various work assignments, and when that was all done I no longer felt like writing about all that went on.  If it's in the past I'd rather leave it there.

Lastly, it's strange what you become accustomed to.  What once shocked me is now par for the course.  I don't dare re-read my old posts but if I did I'm sure I'd laugh at myself.  My what a year it has been.

Strange Day

Most of you are still probably a sleep as I write and post this.  Today is Remembrance Day in Canada.  Some of us probably hardly think about it.  I've honoured and or celebrated this day in my own way since University.  It was always a holiday so you have the freedom to do what you want.  Now I could get all philosophical about the use of the word freedom and how it relates to this day but I won't. Not today anyways. Post university I have had to work on this day even in Canada.  It may have been a holiday but I had work to do.  For some reason the weather on this day was always grey and gloomy.  Some years when I could, I would golf.  The weather wasn't great for golf but it was nice to be alone with your thoughts on this day.  I think the grayness and the wetness that would be part of it made it more enjoyable. It's Been a Long Time Since I Left You

I bet a lot of people live their entire life's without having as many stories to tell as it would appear that I'm going to have. I've taken a long break from writing.  I took a break for numerous reasons. Let's start with a list. This blog became too public and I have private thoughts that I didn't need shared. I don't like to air my grievances in public.  If I'm having issues with somebody I tell it to them.  If I'm having a problem in a relationship, I don't feel the need to share it with everybody. Life was going through changes and it wasn't required to be shared all around. I think there are a lot of the same themes in there, but hey it's my list I can do what I want.
